Hi Ken, the 207 sports 1.4 has very low fuel consumption. As i got the car for less than 1 month, not much i can say except for a full tank cost abt 80++ and can travel up to 500km before the lights comes on. Also sometimes the gearbox error will come up but you can still drive the car, it will go off in a while.

I just bought a 2nd hand 207, 1.4 sport. Sadly, then to realised that there are so few Peugeot on the road. So rare, that I m worried if it will extinct. Please don't, because I love Peugeot!

just dont because you dont see them on the road doesnt mean it will extinct. hahaha. the 1.4 sport can be irritating with its gearbox but nevertheless enjoy the ride!

After driving my 207 1.4 sport for a week, really fall in love, although I'm still trying to get use to the gear shift.

While keeping the accelerator panel fixed to move off, the gear shift will occur at about 2300 rpm.  During the shift, the rpm drops quickly to about 1800 rpm and result in a slight drag down feeling at the point of shift.  Is this normal?

Only caution is from N to 1.  It needs to rev pass 1500 rpm mark to cause the shift from N to 1 (although the gear is displayed as Auto 1), in order to move off.  This is when the car will roll if on the slope.  Well, just apply a bit of brake to control.

As I play around, realized the drive seems to be smoother during gear shift, if I release the accelerator slightly just before the 2300 rpm mark, the gear will shift up but without the drag down feel.

More fun is to go on manual, and to rev it pass 4000 rpm, then shift gear.  This way the pick up is real quick, smooth and extremely fun.  No lag at all.

The gear shift "click" sound can be heard during parking, when going into R and out.

Please share your experience on this.  There is so much to discover about this car.  Just hope it don't break down as soon, as I've no information on how the previous owner use it, and what are the problem that could be passed on to me.

Read in some where, it may be a clutch slip issue, time to replace it. But at 5th gear for 90km/h at closing to 2600pm, is it a bit high. Or is it normal? Haha.
