Hi
I just bought a 2009 Peugeot 308cc and realised that the brakes are hyper-sensitive. As I'm a newbie, would like to know whether this is normal. The salesman told me its normal, though.

Yes, normal,. European brakes uses high friction pads while Japanese Cars uses dustless lower friction pads.

Some Japanese cars uses very very low friction pads because workshop buy those China Pads very cheaply and installed them for owners. But workshop don't charge customer cheaply, hence high profit.

Thanks for the reply, Blue850r! Yesterday after warming up and a few rounds around the block, the brakes feel better.

However, while accelerating from 2nd to 3rd gear, the car kind of "choked" and surged forward. Is this normal?
