It's a compact crossover, some what like polo crossover, smaller than juke. Less powerful than the 3008 eHDI engine, but because it's smaller it's still quite fun to drive. Recommended for small family but maybe a bit tight for 3 adults at the back. Like the mileage as I travel on the road a lot (100km / day), has even looking forward to driving a turbocharged Diesel engine.

Hi platypus_19

Just curious, is your 2008 the 1.2 petrol or 1.6 diesel?

would you mind to share your likes and dislikes after spending 1 year+ with it?

thanks.

Kenix16

Mine is the 1.6eHdi engine. Like the power and engagement! Feels like driving a manual car. The fuel consumption is averaging 20km/liter. It's fun to drive due to its size. Dislike - the gear box, that's only because I was driving a car with CVT gear box. For small family only. The rear seat do feels like bench.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for sharing. I'm looking at a 2008 1.2 petrol that's currently on the used market, but to have the owner selling it after 6 months, I am slightly apprehensive..

Btw, how's your experience with the Egc gearbox, esp during reversing?

I was doing test drive that day, reverse 20cm but roll fwd 10cm. And kept repeating for fear of over reversing n knocking the car behind. Haha

I've no problem. I didn't try the 1.2 as I booked my car in Nov 13.

I did try the Citroen Cactus which has similar engine in the Pug. I thought it was a good easy drive just for city. However it doesn't have the paddle shift which I felt it help cushion the gear shift.

Oic. The 2008 1.2 comes with paddle shift, but it doesn't move with the steering tho. I'm fine with the gear shifts. Only concern is maneuvering in tight spots / with slopes / parallel. Otherwise, I think it is a car that fits most of my needs!
